772 miles of Bliss

Heading out, see ya Los Angeles!

Taco Time
Lilly's Tacos
Santa Barbara

Mmmmmmm

Soda outta the bottle rules.

Quality time with the little guy.

Ella scoping out our first camp site. What are all these glorious smells?!

Our view from our tent area. So stoked to be on the water side!!

Our shelter for a few days.

Messin' around at the beach at night time. I think Ella was
embarrassed of my jumping skills. Weak sauce.

Cute little trail which runs along the pacific ocean.
Nice and mellow, not a soul around. Perfect.

So pretty.

Dogs had a blast chasing wabbits.

Cute little beach town. Stopped by and checked her out.

Too far for surf shots, caught him heading back in though.

No dogs allowed on the beach. Lame. We parked it on
a bench near the beach and enjoyed the warm ca sun.

Pismo Beach pier

Beachside shop area in Pismo. Tons of cute bars and restaurants.
Also tons of tattoo shops as well. Made Ry want another. I wasn't
so sure though. Still can't decide what I want next.

Nice shot heading outta Pismo.

Wine tasting break from the road. I'm in!

They had this really yummy white merlot. So nice and summery.

See ya San Marcos!

In between here and everywhere.

So steep

Big Sur!

Our campsite.

Organizing home.

Roastin' a mellow.

View from the tent, first thing in the mornin'.

Beautiful Big Sur.

Chucks, not the best choice I ever made for hiking.
Ryan warned me, I shoulda listened.

Jeep commercial.

Check ya later.

Another nice view headed north on highway 1 toward Monterey.

Stunning coastline.

It was so windy. I was worried he'd blow off the edge.
Get back in the car quick!

No messing around.

Our hotel

On the way into town.

Always down for fish tacos and margaritas.

City's got soul.

On the way out of Monterey. Black Bear Diner was awesome.
Tons of yummy food and the prices were not anything like breakfast in LA.

On the way home. We were all pooped.

The End.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Millenium trilogy by the late Stieg Larsson
I saw this Independent Film Friday with my husband at The Tampa Theatre. Dark and intense, this movie was ever more dramatic when viewed inside the historic beauty of the theatre. Every character played their part wonderfully. It was filled with puzzles, missing pieces, darkness, love, and hurt. I highly recommend to the mature eye. I am eager to experience what will soon follow.

Some Day

The bike scene in Tampa is slowing expanding. I like what I see thus far. The more people bike the more others will follow suite. Soon I hope the streets become flooded with commuters just like pictured here.

People Gawking

kinda reminds me of a jockey strap, but not as gross

Because I'm not a photographer, famous fashionista, or well known and admired blogger, I can't go up to randos on the street to snap a few pics of their coolness. So, I do what any weirdo, or pervert would do. I like to sit outside and stare at passerbyers. I simply judge them positively, negatively, or admiringly.  I also resort to all those lucky people with street cred and search for their photos of various street style.

If I Had...

If I were a mom, had a mom this old, or had a child for that matter, this is how I too would get from point A to point B...with amazing quads and glutes.

This Is What You Get...

when you mix and match prints. If only I could be creative enough and confident to pair such opposites and make it work. I dig.

Ain't No Illusion

Today, this guy was born. My dad. So clever and unique. One of a kind, to say the least. I get him. Most people don't.  He truly is amazing.

Ma, Mom, Mother

Times like this, an entire day of dedication to moms everywhere, I wish we lived closer. I would have loved to spend the entire day with you. Pamper you, take you out, wait on you, clean your house, cook you food. Although I think of you every day of my waking life, I often don't remind myself how amazing you always are. And although I can be stubborn at times, just know, whenever I get snippy with you or pop a tude, I hang up the phone and vow to myself to never do that again. Yet I still do. You can take it though. You are one of the few people I can just be me without being judged. I miss you always and love you forever. You are the best mom to me. You are one of the best people to others. You are one of the best people I know.
love, me... Cheers!

Shorts, Shorts.. Shorts..Shorts

My weather prediction was dead on. Tampa jumped from "winter"  right to summer. I return to my need for shorts. I have a few go-to's for now, but am still searching for more. I really love the high waisted ones with fun prints. Plus, I think a higher waist will give the illusion of longer legs. Just what I need (thanks mom)! I think the key to wearing anything is to feel comfortable. Once you have that, confidence is sure to follow. So with the forcast reading "you're gonna sweat your ass off for the next 6-months day and night" little to no clothing is all I'll need. My go-to accessory will be sweat. I won't leave the house without it, guarantee.

Tears Were Shed By Your Beauty Alone

The day began with cloudy skies threatening to rain. Fear and panic set in. Thoughts  rushing for a backup plan for this soon-to-be-happening outdoor wedding. The harrassing sky didn't ease up until the ceremony began. Peaks of sun, all powerful and mighty, slowly began to dominate. It wasn't until the moment the bride, arm in arm with her dad, walked down the aisle that the sun was beaming.

Bride and Groom welcomed by all for the party to begin. A beautiful and intimate pool top deck at The Grand Bohemian Hotel.
First dance
I had to

Cheers to Ryan and Ashley. A beautiful couple who threw one hell of  wedding.  So happy and honored to have been a part of it all.

VIP With A Bottle Of Beer

Rumor had it, Club 23 was the place to go in Orlando. Our cab dropped us off out front . It appeared promising enough for a good time, so we paid, I think, 60 bucks for admission. Walked up a good 20 steep steps and were immediately immersed into a crowded scene. I bought some beers and then we found this little nook. Apparently it was a VIP section and you could only enter with a bottle. Yet, nobody told us to leave, so we made it our own. Ash and I danced, literally like nobody was watching. For our sake and reputation for that evening, I hope nobody was. We also realized we were the only white girls in the whole club, not that there is anything wrong with that. I'm just confirming how much I hope nobody saw our dance moves. I'm sure they weren't cool. But, what I can gaurentee was cool that night..... my girl Ashley.

If You Want To Sing Out Sing Out

Me and my girl getting roudy at the bar. She insisted on karaoke. How could I deny the bride this only request? We chose Madonna's, Like A Prayer. Didn't sound nearly as beautiful as when I used to sing in my moms black heels and red lipstick at the age of 10. So through bouts of laughter we managed to get through the entire song. Ash's stage present was dead on of a true musician....living for a moment her childhood dream. We had random group of guys as our backup which helped drown out our squeaky drunken sound. My first and last time on stage. Girl, you're the best.
ash wearing urbn high waisted black shorts + corset top, me is urbn denim jumper, anthro belt. the ability to carry a tune, pure genetics.
